LFD Adds Two More Dates To Summer Presentations For Children

lfd safety presThe Lakewood Fire Department has added another two dates to their Summer safety presentations they are offering . (See schedule below). The presentations provide safety tips from firefighters and give children an opportunity to see the squad’s fire trucks and various pieces of equipment. The children also get to take home a coloring book.

The schedule as per Chief Rodney Youmans is as follows:

July 28th 10M-2PM at the fire house at 1st Street and Monmouth Avenue

August 1st 10AM-2PM in Westgate

August 4th 1oAM-2PM at the fire house at 1st Street and Monmouth Avenue

August 8th 10AM-2PM at the Brook Sports Complex (Brook Park)

August 11th 10AM-2PM at the fire house at 1st Street and Monmouth Avenue.

The Chief asks that Day Camps wishing to attend the events please contact the Board of Fire Commissioners in advance at 732-364-5151

  1. Just remember it takes fuel to get the trucks to these addresses. That costs money. Please remember you also cut the fire budget. I hope the towns people enjoy what the dept. is doing for them.

  2. Lakewood FD is awesome. They responded promptly to a fire in our home in the spring of this year. We do not appreciate the work they do. Considering they service a huge population and remember – it is a volunteer position. Thanks GUYS!!!
