LFA Holds Annual Installment Meeting

The Lakewood First Aid squad held its annual installment meeting this evening, where Mordy Berger was sworn in as the squad’s new Captain. Several other members, including the squad’s new President, were also sworn into their new positions for year.

“I’m looking forward to another great year working together, side by side with LEMS & Hatzolah”, the new President, Raphael Lasry tells TLS.

Lasry says the squad will be starting to offer many new classes to the public including CPR and CEU lectures throughout the year which will be posted on the squad’s website.

Lakewood First Aid, which serves as backup to the Township’s EMS service, currently has more than 30 Volunteer EMT members. They also operate an Extrication team for the Lakewood Township. TLS.

They don’t have any NJ certified instructors on the squad to provide CEU training courses so how can they offer them?
Are these CPR classes going to be free for the general public?

LFAS like every other squad in the planet brings in state certified instructors for the CEU classes.

TO TAX

No they dont get any money from taxes

everything is from donations that residents provide from hard earned $$$ so that when ppl call 911 a ambulance actually shows up and not a taxi..

so next time you get the envelope in the mail dont throw it out thinking you already gave when you paid your taxes

(9) – if you only knew what Scott is trying to do for you and how the vol squad is being protected by what his staff does for you.. I hope that was not a jab but a respect. It could only get worse without people who have the knowledge to actually run a division.
since i am on the inside, i see. good luck and hope these are not empty promises.

Lakewood First Aid Squad is an entirely volunteer organization, that runs on donations, not tax money.
