Reb Amos ztl was a Talmid Chochom in his own rite, and he was still meshamesh Our Gedoilim with such self Bitul to them, especially Reb Ahron ZTL. May he be a mailitz Yosher and an Askin Upstairs as he was downstairs. Yehi Zichroi Boruch.

  2. Yeshiva means BMG.R’ Amos is being accorded this kovod bec of his kovod and close kesher to R’ Aharon ztl. His two daughters Minna Glick (Monsey) and Rebecca Winter (Silver Springs) should have nechama and strength. They had a true role model father who will sorely be missed. May he be meilitz yosher and may we all be zoiche to follow in his footsteps.
    Of Simchas!

  3. He was a yochid bedoro. Who can forget his piercing cries during the tefillos of the yomim noraim or the emotional way he made a brocho on the torah. This was just a glimpse of the greatness that was hidden within. He was truly outstanding in this generation. Who knows where BMG would be without his decades of help and support through difficult and dire times. Who knows what the torah world would look like without his role in founding Shor Yoshuv which has brought thousands of Yidden back to torah and helped transform American Jewry. Who knows where countless other torah institutions would be without him. All of us owe much to this great man. Yehi Zichro Boruch.

  4. R’ Amos Z’L & his father R’ Irving Z’L were mishamesh R’ Aron Kotler the founding Rosh Yeshiva of BMG. They served as his emissary to the true Askanus of the Mofes Hador. R’ Aron was equally great in his world undertaking to direct the Klal for the survival of Yiddishkeit at that time, as was a giant in teaching Torah. The niftar was instrumental in reflecting the light of R’ Aron ZT’L.
The Rosh Yeshiva had two types of talmidim those that he taught how to learn Torah and teach Torah to others, and other Talmidim he taught how to do for the Klal. Its no wonder Lakewood is the center of the USA for Torah study and has the greatest true Askanim . The Levaya of R’ Amos is ending a period of history of the american refugees of Europe.

  5. I knew Rabbi Bunim very well. He davened in the same shul as me R’ Kaplinsky’s shul in Far Rockaway for many years.
