Hi,
I wanted to inform parents about an incident that occurred this past Shabbos.
My daughter was walking with a friend on Sunset and Central, and two men with their faces covered in a black pickup truck tried to lure them to their car. They also screamed anti-Semitic slurs at them while the girls screamed and ran away. They then drove off. Baruch Hashem, I was close by and nothing more serious happened.
My daughter is terrified and now feels unsafe outdoors. As a parent, it’s frightening for something like this to happen to your child.
I just wanted to share this with others as a warning. Please be alert!

Good morning.
people fail to realize is a city of 100,000 with ALOT of vagrants and unsavory characters including freed gang members from Venezuela.
Can the Moderator have a LOR comment on when it is permissible to call the police on shabbos?
Feel free to ask your own LOR
Your child did the right thing , most people are reasonable , at the same time there is much evil in dif. Forms, anti semitac slurs helps us hate them and distance…hofach leebom lisnoh amo…reassure your daughter that at no time was she in real danger…and daven veyishmerechah bebonos
you should move to Eretz Yisroel, there you will find many Jewish boys who will gladly take up arms and put their lives on the line to protect Jewish children and get back at any anti Semite who tries to start up with a Jew.
CALL THE POLICE!!! This kind of thing unfortunately happens in Brooklyn more frequently and without a question, one MUST call the police and have a description of the people and vehicle involved. This is to prevent C”VS another incident. By not calling the Police one endangers others.
scary. we maybe need to teach our kids some basic
survival skills…
It’s a scary world. Imagine how much worse it will be …. VOTE REPUBLICAN NO MATTER WHAT ANYONE SAYS. Republican straight down the line. In Lakewood, Monsey, Boro Park, Flatbush…. Etc . No matter what people say. Get the filthy garbage out of America.
I’ve been told by our local police (a large city outside of the NY area) to call 911 for even a stolen bike (that was just stolen) because the police that are out on the street are available to catch thieves or other bad people quickly. They will figure out how many emergencies they have and whether they can go. Just be very clear when you call right away.
Parents walk with your kids no matter what
