Dear Editors of the Lakewood Scoop,
I would like to extend a shout-out to you and thank you for creating a standard in reporting seldom seen elsewhere.
I have been reading your articles on and off for some months now, and I am thankful that you avoid content which can be a stumbling block for the reader. Such as the content and pictures you choose to display. Most readers probably do not realize that what you don’t show is equally important as what you do, and I hope your example will be followed by others as well.
This is especially true when posting videos, which at times show people in inappropriate attire, which even frum news outlets seem to gloss over, thinking that the benefits of the article outweigh the impropriety of the content. This is an enormous mistake; completely rejected by Halachah, an one which is gradually becoming more and more ignored.
So, thank you for your efforts in promoting such standards, and may others follow your example in providing quality reporting on pertinent topics.
Thankfully,
A Grateful Reader

I feel the same way!!!
lol
So tls just writing their own $&@“ now
right. Cuz its beyond the realm of possibility that someone actually appreciates something and passes that appreciation on…
Your a Moron.
Hope TLS posts that.
Agree with this!
TLS keeps to a higher standard than most frum news sites
Thanks!
They have an enviable standard which others should follow – and its beautiful to see that someone takes the time to write something positive like that!
I absolutely agree with the writer. TLS really is on a league on its own when it comes to the points this writer mentioned. But it’s not just as it relates to not posting compromising pictures and video clips but also TLS on many occasions won’t run a story and in some cases a sensational story, even as other outlets will, if they know it’ll cause Loshon Hora or just mean comments from some out there..
There’s a lot that the other news sites can learn from TLS..
My only quarrel with TLS is (seemingly to me anyway) total disregard for any news concerning acheinu b’nai Yisrael in Eretz Yisrael, as if it’s a sad reflection of “out of sight, out of mind.” I get that the main thrust here is to cover “local news,” but in these trying and dangerous times the travails of our brothers and sisters in the Eretz HaKodesh should be front and center at ALL times!
