Letter: If you want things to return to normal, you need to take a stand

I recently went to (moderated), a local Urgent care, and when I wouldn’t put on a mask, they refused to service me.

Of course, every business has a right to refuse service (although it’s interesting that you probably wouldn’t be turned away for lack of insurance, but would be turned away for this).

Upon further investigation I discovered that although barely anyone wears a mask anymore, some local, private owned facilities and offices are still demanding all patients wear masks, including (moderated) and (moderated)

Many offices are demanding masks based on ‘NJ State Law’. A few months ago, I reached out to Senator Declan O’Scanlan, a Republican state senator for NJ district 13, and he told me then that he scoured all the executive orders and state laws that are currently in effect and none of them say that anyone needs to mask anywhere. Not only that, it IS state law that the governor cannot require more stringent Covid regulations than the CDC. While the CDC RIGHT NOW ‘recommends’, not requires, masking due to a high rate of cases (according to their arbitrary way of calculating it), it did not back in the summer and fall and a lot of the winter. Either way, our state does not say that any Healthcare facilities need to require masks of patients in order for them to receive services.

There have been numerous studies done on masking, but not a single one has said that wearing a surgical mask loosely, over or under your nose, the way the staff member at (moderated) demanding I put one on was wearing it, will make one iota of difference in the spread of any disease.

The Covid pandemic began three years ago. We now have treatments & vaccines & it has the same rate of complications as the myriad of other respiratory diseases that circulate over the year.

If anyone is worried about their health, they can and should wear their own N95 mask. Before 2020, no one would have dreamed to ask a patient, sick or otherwise, to mask. Not for themselves and definitely not for someone else. We need to get back to normalcy.

What did I do? I requested my copay be refunded & left. I then made a less convenient, mask free appointment at a different local office. I won’t support a business like that. And I definitely won’t trust a doctor who can’t think for themself & can’t understand the importance of seeing a patient’s face & allowing them to breathe freely. If we all refuse to comply to useless Covid restrictions, with our actions, our words & our most importantly our wallets, they will stop.

Because nothing speaks louder than an empty waiting room.

  1. Grow up. You left a medical office because you had to wear a mask? Boo hoo. Go cry to mommy, and next time, be an adult and put on the mask. And no, I’m not pro masking.

    • I once went in to (moderated) & told them I had a medical condition preventing me from wearing a mask & they didn’t care. I also had to go elsewhere.
      It’s not always straight forward.

    • It’s much deeper than that. The masks are the face – pun-intended – of the pandemic. Even Grauci Fauci admitted at his recent deposition that he had not one scientific basis for masks. We know it was just to keep up the image of the pandemic so that everyone should know that ‘return to normal’ will happen only when everyone is injected with the clot-shot R”L. If the office is insisting on them, it’s either severe ignorance of the reality that masks do not stop viruses and, likewise, severe ignorance of laws, as mentioned in the article. Why do they do it? Maybe because they think other patients want it, or because they’re in with Big Pharma, in case you didn’t know, it’s public info that Chemed received over $7 million for the clot-shot. The fiasco with the Asbury Park Press’s reporter’s comments happened with a picture taken while the clot-shot was being administered there. And of course the clot shot has not helped anyone. Grauci and Biden and others in gov. got Covid after being triple injected, and I know private people too. And they keep giving it, despite hundreds of rabbanim around the world having signed against it, and there is absolutely no legal liability to drs. for any vaccine related injury or death. Terrible.

  2. What do you expect? The urgent cares are making a mint off the covid scare. Losing the masks would be losing fear and they can’t have that. They need us as afraid as they possibly still can so we run there with every cough and sniffle.

  3. While I appreciate the writers frustration, he is wrong. Covid is still raging and there’s even been an uptick. While the mask may not be 100% effective, is still reduces the risk. In an urgent care, where many people are coming for covid related symptoms, masks do make sense. He is entitled to go elsewhere, but many people understand the why, and will continue to mask at health ie; sick facilities.

    • It reduces the risk?! If Grauci Fauci was not able to produce one scientific report proving this – at his recent deposition (despite his continually saying he is the face of science), can you tell me your source?!

    • I am sorry but the mask increases the risk, by reducing your oxygen intake and fresh air, and thereby your immune strength, not to mention the chemicals the mask is made out of , or the fear and stress that the mask engenders. This is advice from high level doctors. It was only Fauci and the ensuing press, and then the doctors who were afraid to say otherwise that spread the masks

      • Yes, and more than that, if there is no basis to it (as Grauci admitted in deposition), you cannot coerce people – and shouldn’t even suggest it! Moreover, suppose it ‘comforts’ the comprised people to get $100 from every other patient there, will the urgent care place nag everyone to do so?!?! “Hey look, it might help!” (It WILL help – cash does a lot of wonders in this world!!)

  4. Literally the ONLY place you should be wearing a mask in an urgent care.
I don’t want you sneezing your flu all over me, and you should want me coughing whatever I’ve got on you.

      • Maybe because it’s the “others” without a mask who are openly coughing, sneezing and therefore spreading droplets everywhere? If two people wearing masks coughed near each other odds are both will be fine. If a non masked person coughs at someone wearing a mask, the masked person now has to deal with the droplets flying through the room, making it more likely to land on their body. Not only is it easier for a droplet to be inhaled when it is floating in a room, once said droplet lands all one needs to do is touch it and then touch their face and it’s game over. And it’s not “implementing” others to suffocate, you can breath just fine with one on.

If suffocation was the truth, why can surgeons preform hours upon hours of surgery while wearing full PPE including a mask? If two people wear masks, they have protection against each others droplets. If only one party wears one, they are at risk to come into contact with more. If you don’t think masks protect you in the slightest I implore you the next time you have a procedure make sure all parties apart of your care are mask-less. I’m sure you wouldn’t mind a doctor that has just interacted with handfuls of sick patients to preform a procedure on you. A few drops of something highly transmissible on your surgical site/body shouldn’t hurt right?

        • They’re indeed surgical masks – so that saliva should not get into an open would., they do not prevent transmission of or infection from viruses.

    • technically sounds like a valid point. But I have one question. If this was always a concern, why was it never brought up until Covid?! The answer is that masks do not prevent flu. Now, nor did they prevent Covid, but it just became the clown show, the face of the Plandemic, and people went for it (fueled much by the news – which is all guided by Big Pharma, as if not for Pharma advertising dollars, all mainstream media would go bankrupt.) The clown-mask wearing was on the advice of Grauci Fauci without ANY scientific basis – as he himself had to admit in the deposition of his being a wittiness in the case of two states suing the US gov. and Biden admin.

  5. 100% correct. It’s ridiculous already. The best way is to make public a list of locations that allow non mask patients and a list of places requiring masks so everyone in town can then choose their place to go to. Those who want masks can go to the mask places and those that don’t can go to the non mask places without anyone pushing anyone else to do anything they don’t want.

It will take about a week or two for us in town to see which places are packed and which are empty, and at least this way everyone is comfortable going where they want.

The comment above from poor baby is petty and immature. The letter writer is absolutely correct here

  6. Potential candidate for a job opening introduced himself while wearing a mask, I declined him without a interview as the job requires a person with a brain period.

  7. It starts with a mask it doesn’t end there it’s a way of life, with many Americans on a divergent path this will not end well for anybody , having half the country living in a different reality than you….
One possible partial solution might be to defund covid care , it’s not like they don’t get funded for flu Care it’s just for covid they get so so much more. It’s high time that covid gets treated like every other illness

  8. I am personally unsure if a mask helps or not, I assume it has minimal value at best. I am more concerned about your Midos and those of people like you. What unmitigated Chutzpah! You walk into a private business (or even a Government business) and the propitiator asks you to wear a mask. Instead of doing what they ask, you make a scene and likely a Chilul Hashem because you, with your limited medical knowledge think you know better. It agree, “it is time for things to return to normal” and just be a Mench!

    • How would you feel if only black hatters were served that a certain establishment??
This is not about civility it’s about businesses imposing their self righteous morals values and worldview on others.

    • This is like the main argument everyone was saying all along: ‘What do you have to lose’. The answer is that Big Pharma is committing genocide, and wearing masks – and certainly taking a clot-shot R”L, is shtelling tzu – getting involved with their atrocities. Moreover, maybe quite the opposite. When they see Yidden standing up for mental sanity, that will make us look smart (v’amar…rak am chacham venavon…’). There are major experts around the world who were very against masking from the beginning – how much more so over time when the physical and emotional effects were seen, and they are dead set against the shot. This includes some of the most major mainstream doctors – including Dr. Peter McCullough, the MOST published cardiologist in the WORLD – who was thrown out of several prestigious positions that he held – for decades – simple for trying to save people’s lives with HCQ/Ivermectin, like Dr. Zelenko. He wrote an entire book. It is a great read, and very easy for the average person, as opposed to other books that require more background in medical terms or have high vocabulary. (Except that there are a few lines in the book that are not for our community.) Everyone in the world knows there exists great opposition to the masks and vaccines, it is nothing new to anyone – including doctor’s offices. If so, why are they taking one side of the argument?! How is the excuse ‘just to make people happy’ an excuse?! We don’t do anything random – especially something which can have serious physical and psychological affects (both not being able to see people normally and breathing in from a dirty mask etc.) If so, they must have negios/personal interest, and that is that the masks keep up the image of the Plandemic. That’s why Grauci wanted people to wear then until the vax came out, as it was taking time, so people should “know” that the Plandemic is still going on.

Did you ever hear that 20-80K people die PER YEAR from flu – in the US alone? No. Why not?! Because the news doesn’t report it. Why not?! Because Big Pharma and the Deep State haven’t asked them to. (It’s mainly people who are very sick already. But so too Covid; the CDC openly admitted that 94% who died from Covid had an average of 2.3 comorbidities, and even with the rest, there is so much fraud – such as not giving the right meds, and putting them on the wrong machines, all because they got so much extra money for it – they KNOWINGLY AND PURPOSELY killed many for money. See a book Undercover Epicenter Nurse for more details.)

And the saddest part is when the offices do not know this info. much – they’re just hypnotized into masks etc. I’m sure not every office knows all the above info. Ask the staff if they have read McCullough’s book. They’ll certainly try to keep straight face and look at you as if you’ve landed from Mars, and say it doesn’t make a difference – that this is the policy. It’s a blend of really believing in masks etc. and trying to scare and coerce you into it. But if enough people speak up, they’ll be forced to listen – and you’ll be doing society a favor as well. This is what the letter writer is trying to say.

But the question is why people are going to the offices to begin with. If they don’t feel well, they must know it’s because they eat junk food for breakfast, lunch, supper and snacks. They also never get a good night of sleep, and hardly do any exercise – except walking from the car to the house. They then go for checkups, and take medicine and surgery R”L, as if it’s the most normal thing in the world.

If one would like to wake up and smell the coffee (after a good night’s sleep!), he’s more than welcome to! Labri’ut – to good health!!!

  9. Hilariously hypocritical trigger happy drama unbecoming of a yid who is a member of a community that tells people what to wear, do & listen to, lest they have their kids kicked out of schools and their chances of marrying off their children snuffed out.

Grow up, ur a Karen – you don’t see it, just like the crazy person screaming at the coffee barista because they got 3 pumps of organic vanilla instead of 2.5 in their $9 coffee. But we all see it, and so do your kids.

Wanna change the world… start with yourself.

    • funny, i see a lot of judgement coming from someone whos being critical of being judgmental.
And PUH-LEES their chances of marrying off their children “snuffed out”? lol!

WHile I agree that this author is engaged in hyperbole, i understand his frustration, though I dont agree with him.

As an aside, it is a long standing self understood concept regarding unique dress and discretionary music/info choices. No reason to be petty about it.

  10. It…is….a….medical….. facility….. PEOPLE COME IN SICK! YES they should still mask up. If you don’t like their policy then by all means go elsewhere to be treated. Thier office probably breathed a collective sigh of relief when you left!

    • Too bad there is no thumbs up button, because this post deserves it!
I literally always wondered why it was a good idea to go to the doctor when sick if everyone else was doing the same thing and coughing all over each other in the waiting room! Literally the last place you want to be when you are ill!
However with masks, your coughs are contained only to the person who is already infected… which is you.

  11. What the Navy got right with the Spanish flu in 1917 was the slogan “coughs and sneezes spread diseases”.
Had our government taking this approach at the beginning of the pandemic, instead of the notion that anyone breathing anywhere is going to 100% get you sick, we would have done much better as a country.

    • For your information, data I’ve read, states that a major cause of death during the Spanish flu was the masks that prevented efficient breathing!
