I’ve recently (in the last week) made a trip to Montreal, Quebec and there is a serious crisis involving cars getting professionally broken into (even if doors are kept locked) and the cars get stolen!
And apparently within hours they drive them to the port and they are shipped off to foreign countries!
I’m emailing you because hundreds of vehicles have been stolen in the last few months, including my own!
It is unclear exactly what kind of cars these people are targeting, but it definitely seems that the cars coming in from the United States are a big target.
The same night my car got stolen, three others on the same block with Jersey plates were stolen.
I am reaching out to you with hope that you will post this as soon as possible and especially again before the Yomim Tovim (being that people travel a lot then) to save all potential targets the agmas nefesh & loss of money/ personal items/ valuables that these people experienced.
P.s. Please keep my info anonymous thank you and a gut voch!

Good idea to pick up a steering wheel lock. Starts in the low $20s on Amazon.
I would suggest that a good deterrent would be the old fashioned “Club”. The thieves will not waste time on your Club. They probably can pick the Club but they rather easier targets.
On-line you can buy a fake Quebec license plate to stick on your car while its parked
Anyone who tries the fake plate better park in a driveway or private lot. On the street, car may be towed away by Montreal PD, or whatever they’re called there. AND remember to remove the fake plate (s) before driving. My family member was refused admission to Canada last week, because she’s not Canadian, and didn’t have the vac*cine! She was going to Toronto. So be aware of that as well

Is lending out free club bar as well as offering temporary trackers for your vehicle as well you can park in a driver and have another car block you
They are targeting newer vans and SUVs. Pull the fuse to your starter. They won’t have enough time to figure it out.
