Letter from store-owners at the James Street Plaza

Dear Editor, Thank you for the amazing job that you guys always do. I am sending you this information as part of a request from NPGS as well as all the other stores in the James Street Plaza.

Our sales are significantly lower each evening because of the road closure on James and Sunset. If you could please inform the public of the below, it would be greatly appreciated.

“Please be advised that although the intersection of James and Sunset is closed in the evenings, you can still access the James Street Plaza (NPGS and other great stores) from Freedom or from Williams. Please simply tell the police officer that you will be going to the Plaza, and they will let you turn from Freedom or Williams into the Plaza.”

Thank you for your help and understanding!

Why is the answer always to sue?

The funny (or perhaps sad) part of all this is that the upgrades are being made so as to allow for more capacity in the water and sewer systems. In other words, it’s being done to allow for more construction in Lakewood.

I thing that we would all agree that the average person in Lakewood would like less construction. The powers that be disagree. Oh well!

We the tax payers are subsidizing all the new construction in town. We are burying ourselves in traffic. Keep this in mind next time there is an election.
