Dear Friends, “How does he do it,” is a question I have often asked myself. Never complaining or questioning, R’ Dovid accepts his Nisayon with inner strength. In the words of the beautiful song “A Yid” I found the answer, click to watch: |
“And a Yid understands that Hashem has a plan. And that’s all it takes to make it through”. At this time of the year, when we ask Hashem for forgiveness, R’ Dovid reminds us that G-d’s love is unconditional and we can turn to him as a father, not just as a king. “His Tatte loves him, that’s what R’ Dovid holds on to”. |
The Whole Story: In the year 2011 Rabbi Dovid Frid was diagnosed with ALS, which causes complete deterioration of the muscles in the body. In the beginning, he heroically fought to function on his own, even after he was confined to a wheelchair. At present, the disease has progressed to the point where he is now fully paralyzed, on a breathing machine and although fully cognizant, can only communicate with his eyes. He needs 24-hour surveillance and special care to survive. The ongoing costs are mind-boggling. In addition, his wife had to leave her job in order to devote herself to his care. The family cannot continue without your support! |
“After his tracheostomy surgery, we couldn’t even fathom being able to give R’ Dovid quality care at home. It seemed like an impossible dream, but thanks to your kind donations that dream has become a reality! We are forever grateful for your support!!!” |
Wishing you & your family a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year with an abundance of Blessings. Forever grateful, Rochel Frid |
B’vah’chah’shah, implore the FDA to hasten Phase 1 testing of NU-9 molecule. Dr. Richard Silverman of Northwestern University a renown chemist and a frum, invented this molecule which has demonstrated in laboratory testing and in mice the molecule lengthen nerve endings increase axon lengths, in short no other invention has ever been able to accomplish what Dr. Silverman did. In emails from Dr. Silverman he stated that his discovered molecule had been approved by the FDA for clinical testing. Only money and viable patients are needed. The doctor said it takes lots of time for approval for human use. Why can’t this process be shorten and see if a real hope for those with this malady be possible eased ????
