UNreal how we thought we were done with this & at least we’ll have a joyous Simchas Bais HaShoeva & Simchas Torah…And now… BAM !!
None of the above.
And, really, I can’t argue with any of the criteria, as outlined by the Agudas HaRabbonim. Mamesh a pure Mazel that in my shul, already last year the Rav instituted a “2-minute Hakafa” format – so that, at least won’t be so bad for us but the rest is really sobering.
Ah Gitten K’vittle to All !!
maybe I’m just old..but how in the world am I supposed to read this tiny letter on a mobile device..even when I click on it, its still relatively tiny…always an issue for me on this site
Staying in place and dancing and obviously singing inside the shul? Are they kidding? That will spread the virus! It’s not just dancing around the bima that spreads the virus, singing is the most powerful spreader!
In a case like this the elderly and those with underlying should run out before hakofos. Yes, I didn’t say walk, I said run!
Two-minute hakafah format?
Nah. Our rabbi did much better; we sold the hakafos. That is, we sold out the hakafos. Yep. You heard it here first. 7 folks purchased a hakafah. Each of the seven were assigned various members of the shul whom they exempted with their hakafah! And these 7 danced alone with all others looking on. Five minutes! The gantza Megilla! No sweat – literally!
Got home by 8:45 with plenty of time for an extra chalaptcha.
אל תשכח – ושמחת בחגך and come what may we will merit a year of והיית אך שמח!
This letter is great and very detailed. However, Para (3) item (b) “limiting the number of people etc” needs to be clarified. Limited to how much ? Is there an amount that is acceptable ? The smaller shuls won’t have a problem dividing into 2 or 3 groups of 10-15 ppl, but the big shuls ? They’re gonna have a problem.
I have a feeling many of us will be moving outside.
How cool would that be, tho.
@reallysad
Hashem is watching you, and loves you. Never forget!
It appears this letter is addressed to the Rabanim who are supposed to use the guidance to decide how their Kehila should proceed. Why should this be posted publicly? Just wondering
Brilliant.rules will lower the probability of contracting the virus by 0.0046% every bit counts….
