Letter: Attention Baalei Simcha

As an emergency responder, I’ve seen it happen multiple times: a parent, overwhelmed with emotion and exhaustion, collapses at their child’s wedding. It’s a moment that’s supposed to be joyful, but it can quickly turn into a medical emergency.

The reality is, many of us are out of shape. We lead busy lives, and exercise often takes a backseat. But when it comes to your child’s wedding, it’s essential to prioritize your health.

Wedding planning is stressful, and the big day itself can be overwhelming both physically end emotionally. Add to that the lack of eating or drinking properly, drinking alcohol etc., and it’s a recipe for disaster.

By working out before the wedding, you can reduce your stress levels, boost your energy, and ensure you can enjoy every moment of this special day.

Tips: Start by incorporating small amounts of exercise into your daily routine. Go for a walk, or do some light stretching. As the wedding approaches, gradually increase your activity level. You can also consider working with a personal trainer or fitness coach to help you get in shape.

And it’s not just about physical health. Exercise can also help reduce stress and anxiety, which can be just as debilitating as a physical collapse.
