The young Lakewood girl struck by a vehicle last week has Baruch Hashem been able to open her eyes over Shabbos, a family member tells TLS.
The family says she was taken off a ventilator and she’s trying to move and even speak, but is having a lot of difficulty.
“It will be a long road ahead for recovery, with much Tefillos still needed,” the family said.
The six-year-old was seriously injured and will need to be hospitalized for a while – which means, that while we enjoy our summer vacations, she will be confined to a hospital bed, and unable to attend camp or enjoy her summer with friends and siblings.
Today, Tisha B’Av, is the saddest day on our calendar, but even more so for young Pessie.
Imagine how excited she would be if she received some letters at the hospital!
Although we don’t know Pessie, increasing our Ahavas Chinam and bringing happiness to the young girl will surely also bring happiness to Hashem on this day of Tisha B’Av.
What better way to spend our time on this day!
Letters can be sent to – or dropped off at – the following address (a relative, who will deliver them to Pessie):
Pessie
680 Vine Street

First of all a refuah SCHLEIMA for Pessie, and now would she like visitors? then can you please let us know in what hospital she is?
Call Misameach they will be glad to go
Plz have a relative contact lipa Schwartz, director of Misameach. As a volunteer for them, I can tell you that they operate even Bain Hazmanim, with music , clowns, dancing, jugglers, magic shows, whatever would bring a smile to a child’s face. May Pressie have a Refuah Sh’laima B’karov.
Although it is wonderful to drop off cards and things, please note, this was initiated by TLS, THIS WAS NOT AS PER THE REQUEST OF THE FAMILY!! The tefillos are so important to them. Please keep davening she still needs tremendous rachamei shomayim.
