Legal Awareness Event to Address Critical Business Compliance in Orthodox Community

In a groundbreaking initiative addressing the intersection of Torah values and legal compliance, KnowUs.org, a division of Agudath Israel of America, is hosting a vital community event under the theme “I didn’t know is not an excuse.”

The event is scheduled for Wednesday, October 30th, at 8:00 PM at Lakewood High School.

The program brings together an exceptional panel of speakers, each with unique expertise in religious and legal matters.

Featured speakers include Rav Elya Brudny, Chaver Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah, and Rosh Yeshiva of Mirrer Yeshiva, who will provide a Torah perspective on legal compliance. Rav Chaim Meir Roth, Rov of K’hal Sterling Forest-Setard, will address halachic considerations in business matters.

Adding to the distinguished panel, Rabbi Aaron Lipskar, Chief Executive Officer of the Aleph Institute, and Mr. Benjamin Brafman, renowned Criminal Defense Attorney, will share crucial insights on navigating legal challenges while maintaining religious principles.

The event, chaired by Mr. Sol Werdiger, Chairman of Agudath Israel of America Board of Trustees, aims to educate community members about handling legal matters before they escalate. It emphasizes the importance of proactive legal compliance while upholding Torah values in business and professional settings.

This free event is open to men and women, employers and employees, business owners, and anyone interested in making a Kiddush Hashem in the workplace and beyond. Lakewood High School is located at 855 Somerset Ave, Lakewood, NJ.
