TRAFFIC ALERT: [PHOTO] If you are one of the thousands visiting the Catskills today for the final visiting day of the season, be prepared to sit in heavy traffic upon returning to Lakewood. Aside from the standard Sunday traffic – usually heaviest after 5:00 p.m. – traffic is expected to be much heavier today. Also take into consideration, that Route 17 has one lane closed between exits 116-119.

Is it better after 10p.m.?
I just drove down the GSP and there was no traffic.
I did this a few years. It was very rough. Now my son & 2 daughters are in MidWest. No visiting day for us !! And, to #1, its only a little better after 10:00. Have a gr8 trip.
I left @ 9:15 this morning… traffic was a breeze 🙂
people are traveling AWAY from the shore on sun night. No?
We always left Monticello after 11pm Kid slept the whole ride home and little to no traffic
take exit 112 to old rt 17 exit by 121 no trafffic

Get off the 17 at exit 116 and follow goshen tpk. back onto the 17 at exit 121.
i just came home and had no traffic
take 42 to port jervis to 23 to 80 to gsp it was a scenic breez
I came home at 12:00 am and it was a lot of traffic on the 17 it took two hars logar then it would be
why dont you just stay up there!!!!!!!!!!,then no traffic problems 4 the rest of lakewood
