The Lakewood Civilian Safety Watch this evening is on the lookout for a driver who was reportedly snapping photos of children. A resident alerted LCSW of the suspicious behavior at approximately 7:30 p.m. this evening when he witnessed a man taking photos of children in the area of Sterling Forest.
The man is described as a white male driving a ‘nicer vehicle’, with plate number ending in 640.
A similar incident occurred in the Brookhill area about two months ago, when a child was followed and photographed.
Anyone with information is asked to notify LCSW by calling 732-367-1212. TLS-CCP.

Shouldnt this read anyone with information please call the POLICE at 732-363-0200. Or did anyone even report this to the police. TLS needs to be more responsible in it’s reporting.
Can someone explain to me why u call lcsw and not pd ? All lcsw does is follows the perp which your putting your life in danger and prob illegal and then they call the pd
Its unsafe to leave children unattended outside. There are many BAD people that live in and around town that should be locked up but are out of jail having served their time (check the Megan’s Law database- on line ) This wacko taking photos is the tip of the iceberg.
Please keep an eye out for your children. Mine(kids) say I’m over protective, but I know of someone who lost a child to foul play.

My kids said a man in a black car with damage to the front of it was taking pictures of them and their friends on Friday in Heartstone/Mass Ave area.
The reason to call lcsw and not the police is that lcsw can call the police and make sure the police follow thru and keep records if you call police directly chances are they will not follow thru and just say not enough evidence!
#8 That’s one of the stupidest and uniformed comments I have read. I would think the police would need the information first hand. I believe the police keep track of every call and the LCSW does do a great service to the community but they are not even trained to take a call.
