PHOTOS & VIDEO: Officials Take Part in Dedication Ceremony for New LCSW Patrol Vehicle

PHOTOS: Officials this afternoon joined the Lakewood Civilian Safety Watch (LCSW) in welcoming a new vehicle to their fleet of patrol vehicles. The event, held at the town’s Red Square on Clifton Avenue, unveiled the new marked vehicle which was sponsored by the UEZ, and private donations.

The Mayor, Senator Bob Singer, Chief Rob Lawson and other officials took the opportunity to thank the volunteer organization for their dedicated service , which has been recognized as vital tool for the town, and particularly for the Lakewood Police Department.

Since its inception several years ago, the volunteer organization – which serves as the eyes and ears to the Police Department – has assisted authorities with dozens of arrests – some of which were high profile.

The ceremony concluded with a ribbon cutting at the new vehicle, and was followed by a light reception. [TLS]

  1. Mr C:
The “one group of people” you reference above is whom exactly?
    Humans in need of assistance?
And if not, please furnish the evidence leading to your conclusion that only “one group” is aided by these kind people.
    I eagerly await your reply.

  2. If I see correctly the volunteers in the picture are not from the one group ur talking about so they actualy work hand in hand with all groups!! WOW!!! I applaud you guys and the lakewood township for all the support you guys give LCSW and other volunteer groups!! Can u imagine if we didn’t have the hundreds of volunteers working in town how many more paid employees we would need?? How much more our taxes would be? Next time you see a volunteer either a emt, fire, lcsw, chaveirim, hatzola etc.. Salute them and thank them for all they do and of course for saving each and every one of us so much hard earned money!!

  3. Whats amazing is LCSW can get there new car on the road, but the PD has 6 Dodge Chargers that patrol cant touch that has been in the back lot for 1 year

  4. The LCSW is an integral part of keeping Lakewood safe. Unfortunately this donation is an absolute misuse of UEZ funds. By unveiling the vehicle in town Square the vehicle does not become something to help business grow in UEZ appointed areas. Of course the LCSW serves all of Lakewoods residents but that is not what UEZ funds were meant for. It is this misuse of UEZ funds that have caused us to lose most of our funding from Trenton.

  5. well maybe the uez can help the fire dept get some equipment that we require. we have 25 year old trucks and equipment that is so out dated other towns laugh. please help and congratulations to the lcsw keep up good work be safe
