Attention Lakewood small business owners: the Lakewood Community Services Corporation (LCSC) announces a second free small business program to Lakewood to help entrepreneurs through these tough times. Following up on last month’s Basics of Starting & Running Your Business workshop, LCSC’s partner UCEDC is returning to Lakewood with their Basics of Financing Your Business workshop. The new workshop is scheduled for Tuesday, March 2 from 7-9 pm at the Lakewood Municipal Building at 231 Third Avenue, Room #18 in Lakewood.
“Financing Your Business is a two-hour class for new entrepreneurs as well as existing business owners,” states Erich Peter, Director of Training and Technical Assistance at UCEDC. “This class focuses on different options for financing and which will work with your business, what to bring to your lender, and what those lenders are looking for,” Peter continues.
“This second workshop follows up on our mission, to bring as many resources as possible to Lakewood businesses,” states Rabbi Moshe Weisberg, President of the LCSC. “As a Micro Lender, UCEDC has expertise working with small business owners at every stage of business growth. Their educational programs, coupled with our own UEZ small business assistance programs will position Lakewood businesses for success as we continue to weather the storm of this recession. ”
As part of this interactive workshop, attendees will receive valuable business resources to help them grow their businesses, and should come prepared with questions.
