Lawsuit To Overturn Presidential Election Rejected By Supreme Court

The US Supreme Court on Friday rejected a lawsuit filed by the Texas Attorney General as a last-gasp attempt by the GOP to overturn the results of the presidential election, essentially shutting off any way for President Trump to get a second term in office.

The lawsuit, supported by President Trump, 19 Republican state attorneys general, and 126 House Republicans, was attempting to nullify the results in a handful of swing states due to legal issues with the way the election was held.

The Supreme Court’s refusal to hear the case leaves President Trump with essentially zero remaining legal challenges that could get him a second term in office, after an election that the president says was rife with fraud.

Still, President Trump said he wasn’t going to throw in the towel just yet, writing on Twitter that the fight to overturn the results had “just begun.”

  1. “Last Gasp” is not in the Trump nor the Patriot’s vocabulary. The Supreme Court “fiasco” is a sideshow. One by one the dominoes will fall. Each step is well calculated until the entire world sees who their enemies really are and will demand and witness true justice. Clicked submit.

    • Fiasco is just the word we need for this Trump show of bumbling incompetence, childish whining, and posturing to the lowest intelligence level of his supporters.

He is grifting you guys. He lost, because the electorate didn’t like him and his policies and his way of acting. That is how elections work, people vote for whom they want, not for whom you want.

    • I agree. I am assuming that you mean that patriots are shocked by this behavior. The dominos will fall as they have been. And this man might have just handed the Senate to the Democrats. There are still patriots in this country.

It won’t be long until the history books show this generation as one that only cares for itself and not for the objects of enduring affection: firstly for not caring about the elders during the pandemic, and secondly, for undermining our ageless institutions and leading the way for a future authoritarian despot, with a lot more charisma and much more polish than Trump, to destroy our nation.

How can anyone put the achievements of a president or his policies above the sanctity of American traditions?

      • WOW!!
I guess you forgot in the begining when Trump tried to set policy about the virus the States (Democratic run) and the MSM said it was not his call it was States Rights and he was told to back off. So anyone that died because of bad decisions made were NOT made by Trump but by the Governors of those states.

        • As TR taught us, the presidency is the world’s greatest bully pulpit. Also the federal government might not be able to open up states but through OSHA it could mandate masks, can restrict interstate travel, used it spending and emergency powers, like it did by getting GM to make ventilators and also could have ordered that second batch of 100 million Pfizer vaccines that are now going to foreign countries. Really now, we spent two trillion on the pandemic we couldn’t throw more money on this pharmaceutical giant, if not invest in all of them?

  2. The US needs to do what the Soviets did after Stalin died in 1953….and deTrumpify this country.
The damage this man has done to this country is immeasurable and people need to be held accountable.

  3. The cat is out of the bag. The delegitimating of an election might be among some of the worse precedents since the Virginia and Kentucky Resolutions of 1799.

Friends, elections really are not so important. The election of Lincoln was the only one that shattered the world. Policies swing back and forth, tending to land in the center over the long run, and no one election sets a permanent course for history. Do not think for a second you are saving the country by electing one candidate or another.

However, faith in our elections is important.

The intimidation and the cult-like following of one man is a dismal sign for the future.

    • There is no doubt, with all due respect. Did you all see this coming from the beginning? He was saying fraud long before the election likely because pollsters told him that he would lose with mail in ballots. Why is irrelevant to him. So he started a campaign of delegitimization beforehand. It would not matter whether it was true or not.

  4. i cant believe there is no one defending the fantastic four years of a President Trump. And also, probably the best President this country has ever seen since President Regan. Can someone please list ANYTHING he has put into place that has been bad for the country? (Regarding Covid 19: Don’t be fooled by Mr. Biden. He has no clue what to do and his big order wil lbe to wear masks. Well, Europe has tried that and it didn’t work. Mr. Biden can thank President Trump for the Testing being available and for the Vaccine being available through Warp Speed)
