Last night for Kiddush Levana this month | Reb Moshe Flohr

Tonight, Tuesday night, will be the last night to say Kiddush Levana for the month of IYAR. You should be able to see the moon from about 9 PM until about 11 PM. It will be clearer right after 9 and start getting cloudier after that.

While the last night is actually tomorrow night, it will be rainy and cloudy then.

Due to the time of the molad of IYAR, Thursday night is after the time that Kiddush Levana can be said.

    • Yes and no. It goes according the molad where you are, but the times are based on EY.

The molad happens at the same time all over the world. The official molad time that we use is the time that the molad is in Yerushalyim. So to calculate the latest (or earliest) to say Kiddush Levana, you must account for the time difference in figuring out when the Molad is in your locale.
