A brand new playground has opened at Lakewood’s Oak Street School, and it is open to the public.
Lakewood Board of Education Attorney and Spokesman Michael Inzelbuch tell TLS the playground will be open to the public from 4:00 p.m. to Sunset, Monday through Friday, and 8:00 AM to sunset on Saturday & Sunday.
The specialized playground for Students with Disabilities (regardless of which school you attend) is also available via appointment, by contacting Luann Cash at Lcash@lakewoodpiners.org, Phone: 732-905-3504.
Beautiful
tax payer funded playground that school gets use until 4pm?
Hello David, all public schools need to keep the children safe while in school. They can’t have strangers in the playground with the children. I want my children to stay safe in school. I am sure every parent feels the same.
Yes, everything about a public school is taxpayer funded. Still doesn’t give any taxpayer the right to just show up and walk around the school whenever they want..

Dear Mayor Coles,
Thanks for your great work!
I was wondering if it is possible to have separate hours for boys & girls?
While it may seem innocuous now studies have shown young boys & girls using the playground at the same time inevitably leads to mixed dancing later in life.
Thank you for your help on this sensitive topic
