Just six weeks after opening in Lakewood, the Monsey community is proud to announce the opening of its own Learn & Network Kollel, in the beautiful new Bais Medrash Shaar Hashamayim building (Rabbi Viener’s shul), located at 71 East Willow Tree Rd across from Rochelle Lane, in the Wesley Hills section of Monsey.
 
The Learn & Network program is designed to offer people looking to start out in the work force, or in transition from one job to another, a convenient place to both learn for an hour or 2 with a chavrusa to start off each morning, and the opportunity to network. People can connect with others looking to continue their career or start a new one, as well as with current and retired business people who are also invited to join the morning learning program, and who can provide experienced insight into job search and starting a business.
 
The daily program will also offer many additional career enhancement services and training to give participants the tools they need to advance their careers. Such as help with self and career assessments, resume writing, interview training, information on job postings, and business software training. Information on programs that are available through organizations such as EPI, PCS, and others, which include help with job placements and even loans for new businesses, will also be made available to participants, and representatives from those organizations will be available to help participants take advantage of the programs that can help them. There will be seminars from business people and professionals on a variety of topics to help job seekers gain a competitive edge, as well as to inform them of trends in the marketplace and provide insights into a variety of different fields worth exploring. In addition, the learning program will offer shiurim and speeches from Rabbi Viener and other noted Rabbonim and speakers. 
 
The Monsey program will be starting with an inaugural expanded morning program on Thursday, November 25th, with a schedule as follows:
7:45 Shachris
8:45 Breakfast
9:30 Seder
10:45 Shiur from Harav Viener
11:15 Networking
12:15 Mincha
Refreshments will be served. All are welcome to attend all or a part of the program, whether you are looking for work and want to check out the program and the location, or just looking for a good way to spend part of your day off from work.
 
On a regular basis the Learn and Network program will start daily from Mon-Thurs at 9 am with networking at 10:30am. Refreshments and coffee will be available on a daily basis.
