On Wednesday, Detective Sergeant J. Shimonovich along with Officer K. Rosado and Officer C. Kicki presented a new exciting program at the Lakewood Board meeting.
The SIS-IN-BLUE is a free program designed by the Lakewood Police Department and the Local PBA 71 female officers. The overall goal and objective is to provide guidance to community youth, assist in developing effective decision-making/life skills, explore career interests, and to be there as a friend/guide instead of just an authority figure. Students will receive certificates and participate in a graduation program upon completion for the year attended.
The Board members approved the program to commence this year in the fall at the middle school for 8th grade female students (limited seating).
The Local PBA 71 female officers will be providing an instructional positive atmosphere throughout the program. Officer Sherry Jones #277, Officer Nadine Clarke #334, Officer Tara Morgan #349, Officer Stephanie Mahone #369, Officer Kristina Rosado #374 and Officer Caitlyn Kicki #383.
SIS-IN-BLUE can be reached at 732-363-0200 ext: 5111, or via email at [email protected].
