Lakewood’s Emergency Responders Take Part In Incident Response To Terrorist Bombings Seminar

PHOTOS: Emergency personnel from all of Lakewood’s emergency agencies took part in an ‘Incident Response to Terrorist Bombings’ training seminar this morning.

The training seminar, instructed by firefigher and EMS member Joseph Johnson, trained emergency personnel about what to look out for when responding to bombing scenes. The seminar included news reports, power-point presentations and actual devices used by terrorists worldwide.

The event was attended by representatives from the Lakewood Police Department, Lakewood Fire Department, EMS, Lakewood First Aid, Hatzolah, Chaveirim and LCSW.

  1. Great to see the interagency cooperation !
BUT……..Why waste all the taxpayer money driving firetrucks, ambulances, etc. To a seminar ?!?!?!

  2. To#1,
Let’s see maybe in case your house is on fire , they wouldn’t have to waste precious time going across town to pick up their fire trucks ???

  3. The reason ambulances, firetrucks ect. are driven to seminars in town is for the simple fact that if there is an emergency everyone is readily available and can responde as quickly as possible being everyone is in the same place. Why must people always find something to complain about?

  4. And what is wrong providing transportation for our dedicated volunteers to where the are receiving training to keep all of us safe?!

  5. I was just kidding, not complaining. It was obvious why the responders who were on duty drove their responder vehicles. Sorry you didn’t pick up on my humor.

  6. Must have smelled real nice in there after the 700 Illegals who had a sweet 16 party with Modello beer all over the place…………

i checked and there was no party the night before, what’s wrong with modelo beer? ohh you must like the cheap budweiser huh

I guess you checked the wrong place as there were 2 party’s which took place there until 2am with cases of Modello. And I prefer Sam Adams myself.

  9. to #1: it wasn’t a seminar, it was a training day for all firefighters..thus they are required to bring apparatus so if there is an emergency we can respond quickly. The other agencies were invited because if there is such an emergency its not just the firefighters that will be there..everyone will be..and if you would ..relax about being a “taxpayer” and the money..I am a taxpayer in lakewood too..Those trucks were not running the entiere time..we shut them down.. the only vehicles that were the on-call units..since they have to leave if they are called
