I never got it in the mail- what am I supposed to do?
I frankly couldnt give a rat how much money the township gets. We the people see a very small pottion of it and the rest is funneled to the powers that be here in this town
Why do the roshei yeshiva care about census
For the last time! I propose that some one writes a “Readers Scoop” on the topic of hanhagas haklaal, hakehila, vehair in jewish tradition. Someone should explain how a kehila should be run according to halocha. Is the Rav hair in charge? Is there Shiva tuvei hair? Who are they? Who gets to choose them?….”ten lachochom veyechkam oid”….
all this will do is force more mandated services bythe state and federal govt including more cops etc..other than that we won’t see a dime or a reduction in taxes.
You show them! And make sure you don’t disclose your
survivalist hide–out’s location (in the old Lkwd library basement).
It was easy to neglect in the Pesach rush. We took care of ours just now.
To # 2: Apparently your knowledge about American Democracy and the way our country operates, is at Zero. Did you ever ask yourself the question – Why is Lakewood Considered a Township as opposed to Chicago or Los Angeles? Why does a larger portion of federal resources in the form of Representation and funding go to these cities?
Why are Chicago residents complacent with their portion of Funding even though they have the most financialy corrupt political history? Why do brooklyn residents pay that much less in property taxes than Lakewood residents do? Why in Manhattan are their traffic lights up on every street corner and Lakewood’s traffic lights can be counted on our Fingers? why does it have to take me 45 minutes to get up and down a 2 mile span on route nine while driving through lakewood and it only takes me 90 seconds to get through the corridor up in howell?
Why am I restricted from developing highrise apartment buildings here in lakewood and Trenton Zoning laws allow for such a thing? why are our schools so stretched for funding? why are our neighbors so strtched for funding? Why are businesses not moving into lakewood the way they move into other areas? Why do Political Constituents only take BMG into consideration when Campaigning what about the rest of us?
It’s people like you who benefit in one way or another from the American Democracy even if it’s only in the form of Tax rebates that are absolute parasites of our community. You can’t take even five minutes of your time to help out you neighbors, children’s schools (I bet you complaign about the high tuition costs…), Local Businesses etc…
Your unfortunate stupidity is what costs our community it’s future. Your unfortunate ignorance is what hurts so many families in our community. it’s the parasites like you who cause this town to look the way it does.
Thankfully the majority of Lakewood’s resident’s seem to believe otherwise and the parasites like you are left in the minority.
But you still cost us.
I live in a regular house, not in a basement. I file taxes every year, Yer I never received the cencus?
I haven’t recieved a form either and called the LRRC and was told either to pick one up at one of many locations throughout lakewood . (I think I remebered seeing that list on the Lakewood Scoop. TLS – is that accurate?) Also they suggested I call the Census Hotline at – 1-866-872-6868 – I called this number – pressed zero, gave them my address, and they mailed one out to me.
https://thelakewoodscoop.com/2010/04/where-to-go-in-lakewood-for-your-census-form-updated-info.html
I received several forms. Perhaps they are calculating the percentage of then forms returned in relation to those mailed out. If I got several – and only remitted one…. Go figure…
not interested in giving township more money to bamboozle, we’ll pay for it later anyhow in MORE TAXES
For all you babies who throw out the Census form because you don’t want the town to waste money: the money is designated for specific purposes: More police, roadway improvements, mass transit etc… it wouldn’t just go into a general slush fund. Sure money will be wasted, but if you think there is even one government or bureaucracy that doesn’t waste money then I have a bridge to sell you (and you can use Lakewood taxes to buy it!)
#13: Not quite catching the math there…. If we give the township more money to bamboozle today – why would we pay for it later in more taxes – shouldn’t that equall less taxes??? – more funding from the federal level equals less neccesity of funding from the local level… Get it?
P.S. Just curious – how much did you actually pay in income taxes this year? Or are you one of those that just try to milk the government for all you can – living off the government and making the hard working resident’s to PAY YOUR BILLS –
Or am i getting too personal?
Pretty sad that when 70% of lakewood’s frum community lives off the Government and the 30% working individuals have to pay their bills, and Lakewood has the lowest response in Ocean County. Pretty sad that everyone complains about how much they pay in taxes and they don’t take the opportunity to get funneled right back to themselves.
Hello???? what do you think the Governmnet does with your tax dollars? – If it ain’t goin’ to lakewood it’s goin’ somewhere else.
