Lakewood’s Behind-The-Scence Heores: The LRRC

[COMMUNICATED]  Q: Which Lakewood chesed organization assists more than 9,500 families annually with savings of millions of dollars?

A: Surprise – it’s the unassuming organization called LRRC.

Did you think the LRRC is a government agency? Guess again!

The LRRC is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping individuals and families with the basics of daily life, such as budgeting, insurance, utilities, nutrition, and mortgages/home-buying. They assist thousands of families with accessing various government programs, such as subsidized health insurance, utility programs, rental assistance, nutrition, unemployment benefits, and more. The dedicated and passionate staff of 12 employees engage in an incredible 30,000 client encounters annually, and provide guidance, hands-on assistance, advocacy, and community education. Each year thousands of families access the LRRC’s host of informational pamphlets with focused and clear explanations on a wide array of subjects.

Some say that LRRC actually stands for Lakewood’s Really Remarkable Chesed!
