A Lakewood Yungerman was held up at gunpoint early this morning, police confirm to TLS. A family member of the victim exclusively tells TLS that at about 2:20 AM, the Yungerman was sitting in front of his Wyndham Place 2 home when he was approached by the suspect.
“The guy pointed a gun at him and said give me all your money,” the family member said. The victim then jumped up and ran, “while screaming HELP…HELP.”
The suspect initially gave chase, but after a few moments the victim turned around and noticed he was gone, the family member said. The victim knocked on an area resident’s door and phoned police. By this time, several other neighbors had already heard the screaming and phoned police as well.
Police arrived moments later, but the suspect was gone.
The suspect is described a black male wearing a red shirt.
“His heart was still racing an hour later,” the family member told TLS.
Anyone with information is asked to phone police.
