Lakewood Yungerman Held Up at Gunpoint

breaking news tls 2 submittedA Lakewood Yungerman was held up at gunpoint early this morning, police confirm to TLS. A family member of the victim exclusively tells TLS that at about 2:20 AM, the Yungerman was sitting in front of his Wyndham Place 2 home when he was approached by the suspect.

“The guy pointed a gun at him and said give me all your money,” the family member said. The victim then jumped up and ran, “while screaming HELP…HELP.”

The suspect initially gave chase, but after a few moments the victim turned around and noticed he was gone, the family member said. The victim knocked on an area resident’s door and phoned police. By this time, several other neighbors had already heard the screaming and phoned police as well.

Police arrived moments later, but the suspect was gone.

The suspect is described a black male wearing a red shirt.

“His heart was still racing an hour later,” the family member told TLS.

Anyone with information is asked to phone police.

I personally know a black belt in karate who was held up at gunpoint.he calmly handed over his wallet. When asked about it afterwards,he said “that is not why I trained….for even taking a slight chance like that….Let him take the money…its not worth it….Having said that though…This person obviously was frightened to death and couldnt think straight….

No stay there until he shoots. Maybe he had no money on him. If you’re not too sure what to do then stay away from people with guns!

  4. this is the second hold up in wyndham2 this summer!! The first involved a taxi driver. To the owners of all the units with questionable personalities inside, perhaps it’s time for a serious cheshbon hanefesh. Al taamod al dam rayecha…

No body was seriously hurt and hope they nail the person. We were just looking at property in that development and as many as the ads say “great crowd”, always the same phrase. The agent even said great crowd and ” peaceful, quiet neighborhood ” . Are we so eager to make a deal/sell, we’ll sell a yid down the river. Let’s try be really being honest regardless of what we’re selling.

  6. To Gevaldig: mabe you don’t know the area, its one of the best tight knits community that exists, everyone is sooooo nice to each other, we cook for each other, share our kids toys, kids share pools, kids watch other kids, parents take other children whenever needed, we have bnos for children on Shabbos, we have a ice cream truck on grounds, two chosiva minyanim in sterling Forest, a motzei Shabbos minyan maariv in Wyndham if someone is in a rush, we share cleaning help and offer extra hours for people that need extra help, we even have community text and much more including a professional management company that assures our grounds are always beautiful!! there is a reason why people move here!!! This is not the only place where crime was committed in Lakewood, IYH it should be the last, but wyndham 2 is really a nice place!!!

  7. Don’t you realize that anti semitism is being created more and more each day…. What is being done to this town. It was once a beautiful town, we all lived together, white and black, rich and poor, jew and non jew….. What is going on????????

  8. Judie – I agree, but I don’t think it was an anti-Semitic crime, but just needing money for drugs or something. If it were a Jew, non-Jew, Black, or Hispanic, they probably would have robbed them too. A shame the Yungerman was held up at gunpoint, but at the same time…why would you be outside at 2 AM and not expect that something dangerous would happen? Especially if it were in the Wyndham Place next to High Point?

  9. I agree with old timer. Lakewood police need to patrol more. When is the last time you saw police car in Lakewood patrolling the side streets at night?
