Frankly it is hard to believe that this many people in Lakewood would squander a vote just to write a candidate that would never be elected.
Of course it is everyone’s right to do so, but since when does that make it the appropriate thing to do?
i thought there would be more for HH
why look at as squandering . These people did not consider any of the candidates worthy of being elected . Yet they took out the time to exersize their civic duty of voting . They are still better than close to 60 % of the registered voters who didnt show up at all . It is not fair to expect somebody to vote for what they consider to be a bad candidate just because theatt candidate was nominated by a political party
The more attention that is given to this list each year..the more likely people are to write in their friends names just to get their own 15 seconds..to me it’s not news worthy..unless you want to see this trend continue.
I voted for someone for Township Committee, and his name is not listed. Are you sure this is the complete list, including write-ins?

Hey!!!! I wrote in “Harold Herskowitz” for Township committee! Why isn’t he on the list?
There were probably enough write-ins for Harold to win and someone fixed those.

i have been hearing for years to vote for this candidate and that candidate for the sake of hakaras hatov. this election I was very confused who to vote for and which on to have hakaras hatov for so I had a brainstorm…….why not just vote for “hakaras hatov” directly. And thats just what i did. “hakaras hatov” got my vote for county clerk! I simply wrote in the name” hakaras hatov” as my write in candidate!
Gee, I thought I did my write in correctly, but it doesn’t appear on the list for Township Committee.

Both me and my wife wrote in Lower Taxes for township committee but I don’t see it here. Unless it was automatically disqualified as one has to vote for a gavra and not a cheftza.
My write in is not on the list.
