Lakewood unites in search of bone marrow match for young father; Campaign to continue this week

In a great show of achdus, Lakewood organizations and Askonim came together to help save a young father’s life.

Chaim, who recently got married and has a 7 month old baby, desperately needs a match for a bone marrow transplant.

Campaigns were held throughout the world to find a potential match. When Chai Lifeline, Bikur Cholim and Misaskim were asked to help in Lakewood, they didn’t hesitate to organize and coordinate a small army of volunteers to distribute the swab kits throughout town.

For the past week, testing took place at local yeshivas, culminating with a massive drive on Thursday throughout the many BMG buildings and Kol Shimshon.

The drive will continue in full force this coming week in all major local shuls. If you haven’t been tested yet (in your lifetime), then please make every effort to get tested to help save Chaim’s life. [All you have to do is swab the inside of your cheek and fill out a simple form.]

In the Zechus of the Chesed shown in this great town and throughout the world, may we find the proper match for Chaim! For more information or to organize a drive in your shul please call 732-773-2000.
