Lakewood UEZ to Host Business Link Networking Event: Market Your Business Effectively

uezPart of the Lakewood Urban Enterprise Zone’s (UEZ) Business Link Initiative is a mission to help businesses overcome the challenges and frustrations of operating a business especially in today’s highly-competitive environment; Marketing effectively and efficiently being one of those challenges.

The UEZ’s Business Link will host its next networking event on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Reception Gallery at the Strand in downtown Lakewood and will spotlight “Marketing Your Business Effectively”. The goal is to encourage open, friendly dialogue in an informal, roundtable setting. Businesses from all segments of Lakewood’s business community should plan to attend this informative networking event which will include a brief panel presentation by Joel Klein of Immediate Marketing and Business Consulting; David Konigsberg, CEO Optimal Targeting; and Chanina Katz, President of BullsEye Marketing and business columnist for the Voice of Lakewood.

The focus of these networking events is to provide local entrepreneurs and business owners, sales people, professionals, bankers and job seekers with an opportunity to network with each other in an informal setting. It also provides a forum to learn about relevant business topics, share problems and solutions, brainstorm for ideas, make new leads and build alliances. Mayor Menashe Miller and Deputy Mayor Albert Ackerman have applauded previous such events hosted by the Lakewood Development Corporation and the Lakewood

Business Link Initiative. In addition, Mayor Miller continues to stress the importance of the Lakewood community supporting and patronizing local Lakewood businesses.

Patricia Komsa, executive director of the LDC and UEZ Coordinator stated, “the September networking event brings a panel of marketing experts together who are willing to share their knowledge and experience with their fellow business owners and operators. What makes our UEZ events even more special is the fact that our panelists take the time to sit in smaller groups to discuss marketing topics in greater detail once panel discussion is complete.”

Business Link is supported through a partnership with the Lakewood Development Corporation’s Urban Enterprise Zone program and the Lakewood Community Service Corporation.

Attendees are encouraged to preregister and to submit questions for the panel in advance.
