Lakewood UEZ Networking Event Helps Businesses Learn to Effectively Project Their Corporate Image

link uez 1The UEZ’s Business Link hosted its fourth networking event on Monday, December 8, in the Reception Gallery at the Strand in downtown Lakewood. The event spotlighted “Sales: Sell Yourself. Sell Your Image”. The goal was to encourage open, friendly dialogue in an informal, roundtable setting. Over 60 businesses from all segments of Lakewood’s business community were in attendance. The event included a brief guest presentation by Adam Lieberman who is a nationally renowned sales trainer, executive coach and business consultant.

The focus of these networking events is to provide local entrepreneurs and business owners, sales people, professionals, bankers and job seekers with an opportunity to network with each other. It also provides a forum to learn about relevant business topics, share problems and solutions, brainstorm for ideas, create new leads and build partnerships. Rabbi Moshe Z. Weisberg of the Lakewood Community Services Corporation, the events co-hosting agency, stated “This is the fourth networking event and I have two observations about tonight: good turn out and new faces. The LDC and the LCSC strive to bring meaningful topics to each event that keeps people coming back and new people coming. This is truly a Lakewood for Lakewood event.”

Attendees came away from the event with real world, real time information and points to consider when projecting a positive image of themselves and their company regardless of how big or small they are. Adam Lieberman was dynamic and engaging. Guests were encouraged to have an open dialogue throughout the presentation. Mr. Lieberman touched on a host of relevant and thought provoking topics which provided the basis for further dialogue during the open networking session. One important point he did drive home for business owners and managers is that everyone in the company is in sales from the head of the company to the receptionist answering the phone as a first point of contact. Everyone working in your business needs to understand the culture, values and product you sell in order to be enthusiastic and generate an emotional need to do business with your company.”

Patricia Komsa, executive director of the LDC and UEZ Coordinator stated, “we are thrilled Mr. Lieberman was able to join us. His entire method of delivering is presentation was such that it met one of our goals for the networking program which is to encourage open, friendly dialogue in an informal, roundtable setting. The feedback we received was very good and serves to encourage more of these networking events.”
