Lakewood Township Employees Receive Lifesaving Training from Lakewood EMS

A special CPR training program was held at Lakewood Town Hall on Tuesday, provided to Township employees at no charge.

This lifesaving course was arranged by Lakewood Township in conjunction with Lakewood EMS. The hands-on classes – with separate classes on Adult and Child CPR – were given by veteran EMT and combat medic Jose Ortiz, who serves as a Lakewood EMS Supervisor.

“I would like to thank Lakewood EMS for providing this professional, lifesaving training to our employees,” says Township Committeeman, Emergency Services Liaison and Volunteer EMT Meir Lichtenstein. “This represents a true ‘spirit of community’ within local government, where agencies and employees are there for each other and the community at large in so many ways.”
