Lakewood Township Announces Enhanced Pre-Pesach Trash Pickup Schedule; Chometz-burning Sites

Thanks to the hard work of Lakewood Askonim, there is a new and enhanced pre-Pesach trash pickup schedule this year.

Garbage trucks will be canvassing the town and picking up trash all week long.

All residents can, and should, leave the trash cans at the curb all week.

There will be multiple rotating pickups around town for ALL zones. Trash sites should only be used as a last resort.

This upcoming week of Pesach, everyone will have at least two, possibly three, curbside pickups from their home. Bulk can be left outside your house and will be picked up as well.

  1. This might work for most but for me this is turning into a nightmare. I live in a privately owned townhouse in WestGate. I am trying to get bulk pick-up. This week is our regular week for this. We called the department of works and were informed that they will not pick up our bulk pick up because we live in West Gate. It is being done by a private company and we should contact them but they have no contact information.

  2. A huge thank you to the department of public works and all the individuals working there for putting in long hours to make this happen.
