On Monday, May 27, the Lakewood School District will participate in the Lakewood Township Memorial Day Parade.
The day will kick-off of to a grand start at 9:30 a.m. in the parking lot of the Clifton Avenue Grade School, with bagels, doughnuts and refreshments for all students and staff participating in the parade, courtesy of Sodexo Food Service.
The parade will begin with the raising of the flag at 10:30 a.m. at Town Square.
It will proceed down Clifton Avenue to the All Wars Memorial at Lake Carasaljo on North Lake Drive. A Memorial Day Ceremony will begin at 11:30 a.m., led by Mayor Ray Coles and Deputy Mayor Menashe Miller.
Participating in the Memorial Day Service are students and their families, staff members, Administrators, Members of the Board of Education, the Superintendent of Schools and General Counsel, all of whom are proud to demonstrate and show support for our esteemed veterans and brave men and women currently in the service both here and abroad.
