Lakewood resident Rabbi Motty Twerski was appointed today as a volunteer Deputy EMS Coordinator for Ocean County.
Rabbi Twerski currently serves as the Administrator of Hatzolah of Central Jersey, and is a board member of the NJOEMS Council representing all volunteer EMS agencies in the State, as well as being a member of the State BLS Subcommittee.
Since his involvement with the State Department of Emergency Medical Services, he has accomplished much for the EMS squads in New Jersey.
Among his accomplishments, in 2010, Rabbi Twerski trained in Homeland Security Emergency Planning and Incident Command, and has since been asked by Home Security to attend many Emergency exercises as a State evaluator.
Rabbi Twerski also works closely with Lakewood Township EMS and Lakewood First Aid.
“I’m honored to be able to use my experience to help the County,” Twerski told TLS.
