Not in the mood of the traffic between Lakewood and the Catskills? There’s now a solution.
A licensed pilot and longtime Lakewood resident has started flying passengers from either Lakewood Airport or Monmouth Executive Airport straight to the Catskills — all in just 40 minutes.
His air service is already turning heads among busy professionals, camp parents, and bungalow owners who are tired of wasting hours on the road. With seating for up to four passengers, the flights are ideal for quick round trips — whether it’s for Visiting Day, a family simcha, or a one-day business check-in.
“For a father who wants to be there for Visiting Day but can’t afford to lose an entire Sunday in traffic, this is a game-changer,” he explained.
Departures and arrivals are available from or to either the Lakewood Airport or Monmouth Executive Airport, depending on the customer’s preference. The flights land near Monticello, NY, with easy access to popular summer destinations across the Catskills.
The pilot flies under full FAA certification, maintaining the highest safety and reliability standards.
“The other day I got a call from a local resident who needed to attend a Simcha, but couldn’t afford to spend six hours in the car,” he tells TLS. “Time is the most valuable thing we have. This service gives it back to you.”

What aircraft?
Price?
So you will drive 20-30 minutes to the airport, wait for the plane to be ready for you for up to 20 minutes, land in the Catskills and drive to your location. It will still take 2 hours door to door. You’ll save 30-60 minutes? And I bet it costs more than a tank of gas!
But admittedly, definitely more fun!
So the whole flight is 40 minutes and to drive to the airport is 20 minutes and u don’t have to wait to setup the plane, its setup before you get there and 20 minutes to your house once you land. At a minimum you’re saving an hour 10 and in most cases more then that.
What cost?
$$$???
That’s a dumb comment obviously for people that can afford the luxury it’s worth it and alot more convenient!
@ common sense you’re not factoring in traffic to your numbers. It can take you five hours to get up there during rush-hour
wonder if price is per person or can four people split the cost? gotta be north of 400 a seat no?
It’s 500 a seat
Can anyone please share How to contact them to go with the flight?
Contact TLS
Why does anyone have to contact TLC? U cant just give out info? This legal with FAA correct?????
This post is a tease
Need more info on how to book

Lakewood at its best! The more crazier things we find to spend on, and outdo the next guy with a emphasis on putting pressure, the more Reb Aaron smiles from shamayim. Soon we’ll have planes flying within Lakewood to beat traffic. New norm: carpool flights.
Please do not mix the city of Lakewood with Reb Aharon, or even put them on the same sentence. The minority of a minority in town who still live in the way Reb Aharon set it up have zero shaychus with the over the top craziness of the others.
Lakewood Resident Now Offering 50-Minute Car Rides To Walmart!
Are you tired of weaving through Lakewood traffic for hours-on-end just to get to Walmart?
There is now a solution. A local car service driver has begun transporting passengers from Lakewood Township to the Howell-based Walmart in just 50 minutes!
“It wasn’t so easy at first for me to get there in such a short period of time,” said veteran car service driver, Jack Quickstone,”considering Lakewood’s 24/7 traffic jams. However, over time I’ve learned how to utilize my car horn and my extensive knowledge of expletives to arrive at the store in just 50 minutes.”
Lakewood resident, Zalman Fastburg, told reporters on Friday that Mr. Quickstone has an uncanny ability to arrive at his destinations “in record time”.
“Mr. Quickstone once picked me up from my home on Forest Ave. and drove me all the way to Bagel Nosh in a little over 40 minutes!” Mr. Fastenburg said. “I don’t know of any other driver who can navigate Lakewood traffic congestion that quickly.”
Mr. Quickstone also told reporters later in the day that he will soon be offering “Lightning-quick, hour-long car rides from Bagel Nosh to Pizza Plus!”
@pilot:
One question: is the photo of the interior of the plane a stock /digital image?
Cuz if not, that’s one of the coolest interior of a plane I’ve seen…
Well it’s a Pic of a Cirrus Sr22, which has 5 seats total, so it might be the aircraft he is using, it’s a great aircraft with all the safety features and even a parachute system in case of failure without the ability to bring it in for a landing
What qualifications does the pilot have
He has ridden the AeroLoop roller coaster at the “Somewhat of an Adventure” amusement park over 50 times!
There’s a lot of type of pilot certification starting from private pilot up to Airline transport it’s a fair question
also, what type of beans does he use in his cholent?
also, does the pilot like a warm pillow or a cool one?
He is at least a commercial pilot or he wouldn’t be able to charge for his services so you should feel good knowing that he is quite able to perform the task at hand. Enjoy the ride.
Or….. he’s not yet a commercial pilot, and is making hours and getting around that by “fuel cost sharing” and giving the passengers “free rides”. While Cirrus makes amazingly reliable aircraft and has the CAPS system, plus maybe even the SAFERETURN system (depends on model) I don’t know that I would want anything less than a full Commercial pilot shuttling me and/or my family in this airspace.
This is my dream idea which I am NOT a pilot and certainly not wealthy.
If I won lotto my plane of choice to start such a project would be the Daher Kodiak 900.
Hatzlacha to whoever makes this work. Safe travels!
One more part of the idea…
Again with the Lotto 🙂
Do it year-round and transport the Yeshiva South Fallsburg community at a VERY affordable price back and forth to weddings that happen in Lakewood. Airline will be called “Simcha Airlines”. Oh well. One day Bezras Hashem.
