Last week, TLS posted an article about a cleaning lady who had been stealing from her Lakewood employers, and thankfully another victim recognized the woman and as result managed to retrieve stolen jewelry.
The resident this evening submitted the following letter to TLS.
“You posted an article last week about a cleaning lady caught stealing from her employer. When I mentioned the article to my wife and showed her the picture, sure enough it was our former cleaning lady, and sure enough there was jewelry missing.
My wife called the detective yesterday and B”H most of what was taken was recovered.
Thanks for posting the article!”
The resident also thanked Officer Menck and Detective Messer for the special attention given to his report. He also stated, “They recommended that when hiring a cleaning lady, everyone get a copy of ID, even if it is foreign ID.”
Should you recognize the suspect, contact Detective Chase Messer at 732-363-0200 ext. 5348.

I have been trying to get in touch with this police officer for the last two days and he hasn’t been answering our calls. I am anxiously Waiting to find out if my stuff was found and don’t appreciate getting the run around from the police department.
I would also recommend if you have jewelry in the house please keep it hidden so the cleaning lady or any other help that comes to your house want be able to get to it. While we are on the subject please young mamalach do not leave a young child in the house even for a short while with a cleaning woman or anybody else if you dont have very reliable references
