Lakewood Resident Files Complaint, Seeks Attorney After Embarrassing Incident with TSA Agent

A Lakewood resident suffered an embarrassing incident while going through airport security, and he’s now seeking an attorney, the local resident told TLS.

While traveling with his family through Newark Airport this weekend, the resident says he was told to remove his belt before going through the metal detector, a standard procedure.

But while being patted down, the traveler says the TSA yanked on his pants, causing them to fall to his ankles, embarrassing him in front of his family and others.

The embarrassed traveler says he made a remark about it to the agent, to which he replied “Don’t be so dramatic about it.”

The traveler says he already filed a complaint with the TSA, but he’s now seeking an attorney who will take on the case.

    • While I agree with you that there should not be published for tznius purposes, if the person who this happened to indeed reported it to TLS (as in indicated in the first line of this article), then we can’t really be too concerned about his embarrassment of the incident.

But why Takka is this newsworthy?

  1. It is for this very reason that I wear tighter than usual pants when traveling.

I once had an incident with a tubulous TSA agent. He tried the yank but my hoisen were so snug that he lost his grip and went whoosh.

May we not know of any such tzuros.

  2. Efshar he should try “Shcloikis” aka suspenders They won’t make him take it off and you have an added benefit that even if the TSA agent will pull his hoizen” it will spring back up.Presto!

  3. I had a similar story in a different country’s airport. when i made a comment. that what there doing is not appropriate….. she told me shell call the cops…. so ended up going thru with b/c thts the last anyone wants… But would love to know if and how i can file a complaint with a international airport security?

  4. It is embarrassing to have one’s pants fall down in public. TSA should not be doing this to people. He should sue, but, it doesn’t have to be in the news.

  5. I once had an incident many years ago where I was selected for random pat down in TSA security. While it wasn’t embarrassing, I felt that it was more than just a simple pat down and that my privacy was being invaded. After that incident, I filled out a contact form online to TSA and complained. They answered me that this is their procedure and they even told me the order of body parts in which they do the pat down (shoulder, torso, etc)
