Lakewood resident among five seeking to fill David Rible’s Assembly seat

Five people will be vying for the seat of Assemblyman Dave Rible, the local Assemblyman who recently resigned.

As earlier reported, Assemblyman David Rible stepped down to take on the role as Director of the ABC (Division of Alcohol Beverage Control).

The 30th Legislative District GOP County Committees will be voting to select the candidate who will fill the unexpired term. Whoever wins, is expected to run in November’s elections.

The five candidates are Justin Flancbaum of Lakewood, James Bean of Belmar, Ralph Addonizio of Wall, Gary Rich of Spring Lake and Ned Thomson of Wall.

All candidates are from Monmouth County, except Flancbaum.

Flancebaum currently serves as the Lakewood MUA Executive Director, Vice Chairman of the Industrial Commission, 2nd Vice President of the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce, 2nd Vice President of the Association of Environmental Authorities of New Jersey, Executive Board Member at the New Jersey Utility Authorities Joint Insurance Fund, Vice President of Municipal Utility Authorities Association of Ocean County, Republican Municipal Chairman of Lakewood, Executive Member of the Ocean County Young Republican Organization, and an Executive Board Member of the Regular Republican Club of Lakewood. He also serves on the Lakewood Planning Board.

The meeting will be held this coming Monday in Wall Township.
