DWI:

August 3, 2024, Sergeant Sherry Jones patrolled the area of New Hampshire Avenue and observed a careless driver in the roadway. Fabian Cruzavila, 25, from Jackson, N.J. was arrested for DWI. He was charged with Careless, Reckless, and other related charges.

Sgt. Kenneth Schaal, Officers Richard Uriarte, Leonardo Shimonovich, and Sean Capper assisted in the investigation.

WANTED PERSON:

August 8, 2024, Officer Matthew McAvoy patrolled 2nd Street and observed Isai Aguilar-Romero, 34, from Lakewood, N.J. from previous encounters. Dispatch confirmed a local warrant for drinking in public and he was subsequently arrested.

MVA/DWI:

August 11, 2024, Officer Christopher Johnson responded to River Avenue and Hurley Avenue for a motor vehicle crash report. Cristopher Garcia-Ortiz, 29, from Lakewood, N.J. was arrested for DWI. He was charged with careless driving and other related charges.

Officers Joshua Gianoulis and Bryan Rodriguez assisted in the investigation.

DISORDERLY:

August 15, 2024, Officers were dispatched to the NJT Bus Terminal due to a disturbance caused by a female yelling and screaming at everyone in the terminal. Daniela Barboza-Garcia, 23, from Newark, NJ, became combative with the officers at the scene and was subsequently arrested for disorderly conduct and charged with aggravated assault on a police officer, Resisting Arrest, and obstruction.

Officers Michael Sheehan, Brian Guzman, Richard Uriarte, Corey Maliff, and Leonardo Shimonovich assisted in the investigation.
