Lakewood Police recover 23 tablets during arrest of burglary suspect

While attempting to arrest a man for theft, Lakewood police quickly found out they had a bigger fish on their hands.

On February 6, Detectives Michael Cavallo and Michael Dennis Jr., along with members of the Lakewood Police Patrol Division, responded to a Lynn Court home in an attempt to arrest 29-year-old Mashon Wilson for an outstanding warrant in connection with a February 5,2020 burglary to the Bnos Yisroel School located at 243 Prospect Street.

According to the report, Wilson is believed to have taken approximately $400.00 in US currency.

While apprehending Wilson, investigators on scene recognized proceeds from a December burglary to an office located at 681 River Avenue. This lead to the execution of a court ordered search warrant, resulting in the recovery of 23 Samsung tablets.

As a result, Mr. Wilson was charged with several counts of theft and burglary and was transported to the Ocean County Jail.
