Lakewood Police Officer Assaulted While Arresting Suspect [PHOTO]

A Lakewood Police officer was assaulted while arresting a suspect, TLS has learned.

The incident happened on Madison Avenue shortly before 2:00 AM.

The suspect – being arrested for unknown reasons – was reportedly resisting arrest and injured the officer in the arm. The officer did not need hospitalization.

The suspect was ultimately taken into custody, and charges are pending.
