Lakewood Police Investigating Multiple Catalytic Converter Thefts

The Lakewood Police Department is investigating the theft of multiple catalytic converters in Lakewood.

Over the past few days, there were at least five thefts reported to police.

On Flannery Drive, a victim reported that his catalytic convertor was stolen from his Hyundai Sonata. On Holly Street and Bergen Ave., a victim reported that a catalytic convertor was stolen from a 2011 VW Jetta. On 11th Street, a victim reported a catalytic convertor theft from a 2010 Hyundai Sonata. On Avenue of the States, a victim called and reported a theft, but upon police arrival the victim was gone. On Ocean Avenue, Pine Belt Chevy reported a brand new Dodge Ram 1500 had a catalytic convertor removed and stolen from the vehicle.

Last month, TLS reported of converters stolen as well.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Lakewood Police Department.
