Lakewood Police Department Weekly Blotter

On Saturday July 16, 2022, Patrolman Connor Woods responded to the area of Holly St. to assist Capt. Langenberger actively in a foot pursuit with Jaim Malka 29 years old of Deal, NJ. Malka became irate towards utility workers that were wiring to serve the area with internet capabilities and grabbed the cable wires and attempted to pull them off of the pole and sustained lacerations on his hands. Malka was apprehended by Capt. Langenberger and subsequently transported to the Monmouth Medical Centers Southern Campus by Lakewood EMS for a minor hand injury.

DWI

On Tuesday July 19 2022, Ptl N Clarke was dispatched to the area of Madison Avenue and E Kennedy Blvd, for a third party caller stating there was possibly an intoxicated driver in the area. The driver identified to be Daniel Carpintero- Cholula 42 years old from Lakewood NJ.

Carpintero- Cholula was issued 4 summonses for DUI (39:4-50), unlicensed driver (39:3-10), careless driving (39:4-97), and reckless driving (39:4-96).

Sgt. Miick, Ptl. Reyes, Ptl. Hunter, Ptl. Weaver, Ptl. Grant assisted in the investigation.

DWI

On  Tuesday July 19, 2022, Ptl. D. Desangles observed a vehicle that crashed into a front fence line in the area of  East County Line Rd. The driver Ivan Alexander Gonzales 24 years old of Lakewood, NJ., sustained minor cuts and bruises. He declined medical attention and upon Officer further investigation at the scene, Gonzales was arrested  for DWI.

  1. The Judge sentenced Mr. Malka to several weeks of home confinement, according to fictitious news reports. The judge however, partially rejected requests made by Mr. Malka’s attorneys that their client be permitted to use the internet for the duration of his home confinement.
    “If he’s got wireless internet, I’m fine with that,” the Judge fictitiously said. “But no wires or cables! We’re not going through that again!”
