Lakewood Police Department investigating string of home burglaries

The Lakewood Police Department is investigating a string of burglaries that occurred in the early morning hours of Saturday, August 17.

At approximately 3:45 am, Officers were dispatched to a home in the 1200 block of 14th Street for a burglary in progress.

“Upon arrival, the responding officers made entry into the home, however, due to a delay in reporting the incident the suspects were able to flee the area prior to their arrival,” police said.

It was later learned that two additional neighboring homes on Arbutus Dr and Case Rd were also burglarized.

In all three incidents entry was made via an unlocked first floor window. Anyone with information is urged to contact Det. Kevin Martin at 732-363-0200 ext. 5340.
