Lakewood Police Chief Meyer Once Agin Urging Residents To Lock Their Vehicles

Lakewood Police Chief Greg Meyer today is urging residents to be vigilant in response to numerous burglaries around town.

“When leaving your vehicle, make it a habit to always lock your doors, and remove your valuables,” Chief Meyer told TLS. “Unlocked doors and items left out in the open make for an easy target.”

The Chief says Lakewood Police have recently been responding to multiple vehicle burglaries each night, with cash and other items stolen.

“Ensuring your vehicles are locked will absolutely bring the numbers down,” said Meyer. “These burglars are looking for easy targets – don’t be one of them.”

If you do not remove your valuables and lock the car, you have no one to blame for the burglaries but yourself. Click it or lose it.
