Question:
To Our Esteemed Chief Of Police,
Thank you for your service and for protecting our great town.
Is there anyway you can make Spruce St. parking only allowed on one side of the street? I have a very hard time driving there during the day and at night. Also I live on Treeside LN. It is hard for me to make a left turn out of my block because people park close to the corner so I can’t see the cars coming down Pine St. (which is a very busy street). Can you please make the no parking near the corner area a little bigger?
Thank you so much!
The Chief’s response:
We will have our traffic and safety specialists conduct a survey and make the necessary recommendations to the township.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
Chief Meyer

I had an issue with parking on my corner and we (myself and neighbors) made one or two calls to the township and within a week or two we had no parking signs 100 feet to both corners and lines painted yellow
I would also like to add that people Park right outside Forest Park and and making a left turn at night is a real hazard there should be no parking allowed there. In appreciation.
So the people who live there should be inconvenienced, and park further from their house, so YOU can have an easier experience driving there. If you drive a little slower, you will still get where you need to go.
Not selfish at all: The issue here is safety, not an ” easier experience “.
The issue for the most part is not from people that live there. Rather for people coming for simchas b”h and learning…let’s keep up the learning and simchas bezr”h and at the same time have the traffic and parking make the necessary traffic changes so we can do it all safely!
I totally agree. Driving down Spruce near Mark Drive is a nightmare most times. Especially when a bus needs to pass! It’s scary driving there. One side parking great idea.
Pine street should be no parking on at least one side to Allow for an extra lane
This is a great solution to a problem that could have been avoided in the first place.
Planning board STOP allowing such dense building on old and narrow streets. New streets should be wide enough to have cars parked on each side and room for 2 buses to pass each other without snaking around open parking spaces. This simple requirement would take land away from the builders, so it will never happen.
Also Planning Board stop allowing variances you have a master plan stick to it or stop pretending you use it.
