Lakewood Police Chief Greg Meyer Answers Your ‘Ask The Chief’ Questions: Loose Dog

The following is an ‘Ask The Chief’ question submitted to TLS, and the Chief’s response. Email your questions for the Chief to AskTheChief@thelakewoodscoop.com.

Question:

Hi my neighbor’s dog is constantly getting loose. My children are afraid of the dog and will not walk to their friend or to the bus stop on their own. Additionally it’s unpleasant for adults as well to be surprised by a dog on your own property. The police were called a few times which does not seem to help at all. Is there any other recourse to prevent this from happening?

Thanks

The Chief’s response:

Hi thanks for reaching out via the ask the chief. I have forwarded your email over to our quality of life office and they will reach out or stop by most likely tomorrow to see what they can help with to attempt to remedy this issue.

All the best

Chief Meyer
