Lakewood Police Captain Steve Allaire: We’ll have extra patrols out for Yom Tov

Lakewood Police Department Captain Steve Allaire tells TLS that during Yom Tov, the Police Department will have extra patrols working, conducting checks of all residential neighborhoods and Shuls.

Allaire says that Sheriff Michael Mastronardy will be supplementing their efforts by assigning Sheriff Officers to assist in patrols.

LCSW will also be increasing their patrols over the weekend.

“I would like to thank LCSW for spending countless hours surveying the town and providing the police department with an updated Shul list prior to this holiday weekend,” Allaire said.

He added, “We just ask that all residents take simple security steps like locking your vehicle’s doors and removing belongings to help deter any thefts.”

  1. kudos to our police department and all our public officials for the attention they pay to all our residents. i wonder if lakewood is an easy job because we have fewer crimes per capita or it’s harder because we run on a different schedule from most everyone else. or is this just delusion on my part?
