UPDATE: The woman and child have been located and are okay
The Lakewood Police Department, along with several community volunteer organizations, are seeking the public’s assistance in trying to locate 34-year-old (moderated -found) of Lakewood.
Ms. (moderated) is believed to be in the company of her 4-year-old daughter and was last seen walking east on 5th Street in Lakewood, wearing a dark colored sweater, long skirt and a hair wrap.
Her daughter was wearing a blue dress with multi-colored croc style shoes.
They may be heading to New York.
Chaveirim is assisting in the search.

Is mom mentally unstable? Was it a bad divorce? If she is in danger can we see a picture of mom and/or child to help us alert authorities if we see them?
Why are they looking for her? No reason given.
It is obvious that it is extremely important.
Probably no reason given, due to the fact that they want to minimize the damage here and protect the family and not cause any additional pain to this family.
