On November 12, 2010 at 5:00 p.m., members of the Lakewood Police P.B.A. Local No. 71 will be serving approximately 150 local senior citizens a free pasta dinner to thank them for their continuing support. Local No. 71 President Gary Przewoznik and fellow police officers will serve the food, which has been donated by a variety of local businesses.
Officer Przewoznik said this first pasta dinner will be held at the Original Leisure Village in Dorchester Hall, Route 70, Lakewood. “This is part of our continuing efforts to give back to the community for all their support. Our senior community is very important and we would like to introduce ourselves to them in a positive manner, rather than when they are in distress,” added Officer Przewoznik.
Officer Przewoznik credits the help of Lakewood business owners and their staff for making this event possible. They include: Abe Muller of Kosher West; the Woodlake Country Club and their Executive Chef Jerry Mahecha and staff; and Entenmann’s Inc. He also credits Lakewood Police Officer Ken Burdge, a former executive chef, who will be utilizing his cooking talents for the evening.
